About
Guodong’s research at KAPSARC focuses on the joint implementation of sustainability and resilience in urban energy systems, integrated assessment of smart energy technologies, and the human sides of connected and autonomous vehicles. He was a faculty member of State University of New York (SUNY), and the executive director of the New York Energy Policy Institute - a consortium of 16 leading research universities - and the U.S. Department of Energy national lab in New York. Before SUNY, he worked at Harvard University, Carnegie Mellon University, and China’s Energy Research Institute. Guodong’s experience includes leading a collaboration project between Harvard and China’s Ministry of Science and Technology on the innovation and use of appropriate coal technologies, integrated assessment of advanced coal technologies, exposure-based air pollution management, and China’s greenhouse gases mitigation strategies.
